I know my blog with respect to the death of Amy Winehouse is very late, however, I am someone who takes a minute to respond to things such as this. It took me a while to comprehend that she had actually died and with all the press and conspiracy theories it was hard to clearly take stock of what had happened. With the tragic deaths in Norway it was hard to prioritise one's grief.
i met Amy years ago, at a club callaed Ten Rooms when she and I stood on the same stage to sing Happy Birthday to a very close friend of mine and I was shocked that she was actually a really sweet person and I did not see the little diva that everyone spoke so highly of.
Whatever her demons were and whatever caused her death, please remember that this person was someone's child and nomatter how she made her choices, no person is perfect and in death we must reflect not on the negatives and cast a shadow over the loss of a loved one.
I wish her well and hope that she is able to fly free now and that her family can heal and find comfort one day and make peace with the tragic loss of their child.
